Israel interested in accelerating free trade area talks with Ukraine

Israel is interested in speeding up the talks on conclusion of the free trade area agreement with Ukraine.

This is reported by the press service of the Economic Development and Trade Ministry of Ukraine.

"May 14-16, the Ukrainian delegation headed by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman and with the participation of Deputy Economic Development and Trade Minister, Trade Representative of Ukraine Natalia Mykolska visited the State of Israel on an official visit. Ukraine and Israel confirmed their desire to sign a free trade area agreement as soon as possible," the statement reads.

According to the press service, a lot of meetings were held during the visit with high-ranking officials and business representatives of Israel regarding deepening cooperation in various areas of the economy and implementing joint projects, in particular in the IT industry, cyber security, agro-industry, infrastructure, tourism, etc. The parties also separately discussed the issue of the conclusion of the Ukraine-Israel Free Trade Agreement.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu noted that Israel was interested in speeding up the negotiations on conclusion of the free trade area agreement with Ukraine and added: "We want to develop commerce, trade, tourism, economic exchanges between our countries."
