The average salary of a full-time employee in Ukraine totaled UAH 6,753 in March 2017.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman wrote this on his Facebook page.

“Good news. According to the State Statistics, the average salary of a full-time employee in Ukraine amounted to UAH 6,752 in March 2017. This is twice the amount of minimum wage and by 8.7% higher the figures of February. Such growth fully corresponds to the growth of industrial production, which grew by more than 8% in March,” Groysman wrote.

He also noted that incomes of Ukrainians grew by more than 37% over the year.

“Taking into the account that the inflation rate over this period totaled about 15%, we can state that wage growth finally outstrips the price hike. And this is what we are striving for: we convert the indicators of economic growth into the welfare for every Ukrainian,” Groysman added.
