The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has extended the state of emergency in Ukraine’s national energy sector for another month.
The decision was approved at the Cabinet’s meeting on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"This is about the temporary measures on the energy market. Does anyone have objections? Let's continue, the decision is approved," Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said.
As reported, the state of emergency in Ukraine’s national energy sector came into effect on February 17 in connection with the blockade of anthracite type steam coal supplies and in order to ensure reliable, unhindered, stable operation of Ukraine’s united energy system, prevent any possible imbalance between production and consumption of electricity.
