Agriculture ministry: Ukraine may hold 12% of global grain market in 2016-2017

In the 2016-2017 marketing year, Ukraine may hold a 12% share in the global grain market. 

This is reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry reports, referring to Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Deputy Minister Olena Kovaliova.

“In the 2016-2017 marketing year, Ukraine may hold 12% of the global grain market. Today Ukraine is ranked fourth in the global market in terms of corn exports, third - barley exports, sixth - wheat exports, eleventh - flour exports and twelfth - cereal flakes exports,” the report states.

According to Kovaliova, it is a proof that Ukrainian agricultural products are high-quality and safe. Currently, Ukraine exports agricultural products to more than 190 countries.

In cooperation with public associations, business representatives and scientists, the Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry continues to develop tools to improve the quality and safety of Ukrainian agricultural products.
