Over the last two years, 180,000 Ukrainian families used the program that partially compensates the cost of credits taken for modernizing heating efficiency and raising energy efficiency at homes.

Vice Prime Minister – Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Minister Hennadiy Zubko said this in an interview with Hromadske Radio.

“More than 180 thousand Ukrainian families used it [the program]. Therefore, the program will be extended until there is demand among the Ukrainian families,” the minister said, when speaking about ‘energy efficiency’ credits.

According to the minister, this year for the measures on raising energy efficiency in the country, UAH 800 million has been envisaged in the national budget, of which 400 million will be used for ‘energy efficiency’ credits.

At the same time, Zubko reminded that the Energy Efficiency Fund will start operating on April 1 and it has a broader range of tasks than the program of ‘energy efficiency’ credits.
