Ukraine’s Cabinet awaiting $1 billion tranche from IMF

Ukrinform
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine expects that the size of the IMF’s fourth tranche under EFF program will total $1 billion.

Ukrayinski Novyny Ukrainian news agency learnt this from an informed source in the government.

The source stressed that the two sides discussed the possibility of providing the fourth tranche of about $1.8 billion in November. The final size of the tranche is most likely to be agreed upon after President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko meets with IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde during the World Economic Forum in Davos, scheduled for January 17-20.

Ukrainian authorities expect to get the IMF’s fourth tranche in February.
