President Poroshenko: United territorial communities to spend UAH 9 bln on roads and hospitals in 2017

The united territorial communities will be able to spend about UAH 9 billion on such important local projects as hospitals and roads next year.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said this in his video address to the participants in the meeting of the newly elected chairpersons and members of the united territorial communities, the press service of the Head of State reports.

"The decentralization reform is one of the key reforms, and we will continue to conduct it, providing the communities with the effective powers and real resources. Already formed united territorial communities will be able to spend next year about UAH 9 billion on such important local projects as hospitals, roads, and so on," the President said.

As noted, expansion of powers of the local authorities in land management is currently on the agenda.
