Over 20 mln tons of grain already exported from Ukraine in 2016/2017 marketing year – Agrarian Policy Ministry

As of December 15, Ukraine year delivered 20.061,000 tons of grain to foreign markets in 2016/2017 marketing year, having exceeded the figure for the same period last year by 880,000 tons.
This is reported by the press service of the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry of Ukraine.
"Wheat exports constitute more than half (10.6 million tons) of total exports. In addition, Ukraine exported 5.3 million tons of corn and 4 million tons of barley. Moreover, Ukraine exported 165,000 tons of flour since July 1, 2016," the statement reads.
The largest importers of Ukrainian grains traditionally are Asian and African countries: Egypt, China, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Bangladesh and others.
