Government supports draft law on energy efficiency fund

The project on energy efficiency fund was represented by Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister, Minister for Regional Development, Construction and Housing Hennadiy Zubko at a government meeting on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The energy efficiency fund is a tool that will enable economic growth. This is a prerequisite for 75,000 new jobs, reduction in gas consumption, this is a completely different approach to living in a high-rise building,” Zubko said.

According to him, measures on the renovation of homes will lead to almost a 75% reduction in resources consumption.

"To get quality services at an affordable price is absolutely real and many countries have gone through this,” the vice prime minster said.

Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, in turn, added that the project soon will be submitted to Parliament for approval.
