State Fiscal Service lays off a third of its staff

The State Fiscal Service has reduced its staff by 30% - to 42,000 employees.
Head of the State Fiscal Service Roman Nasirov stated this at a meeting with business representatives that was dedicated to the problem of violations of rights of economic entities, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Currently the number of staff members at the State Fiscal Service is 42 thousand, this means we have reduced [the number of employees] by one third,” Nasirov said.
He also added in 2015-2016 the State Fiscal Service received from the Business Ombudsman Council about 201 complaints from taxpayers.
According to Nasirov, most of complaints related to VAT administration and reimbursement, electronic system of VAT administration and work of customs.
