Ukraine paid Russia $100 bln for gas since 1991

Ukraine paid over $100 billion for gas purchased from the Russian Federation in 1991-2015.
Oleksandr Dombrovsky, the Acting Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament Committee on Fuel and Energy Complex, Nuclear Policy and Security, said this during the Energy Spring 2016 Congress, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Over the years of independence, we invested or paid for our gas disease to our northern neighbor more than $100 billion, according to our estimates," Dombrovsky said.
According to him, this figure refers only to gas imports from Russia.
