Russia delivered over one billion rubles and almost half million US dollars to occupied Donbas - intelligence

In early May, the occupied territories of Donbas received 1.2 billion Russian rubles and $382,000 in cash, as well as 35,000 Russian passport books, Intelligence Directorate at Defense Ministry reports on its site.

"Despite the prolonged stagnation of the economy, military and political leadership of Russia continues to spend heavily to maintain its power in the temporarily occupied territories of eastern Ukraine. In early May, the so-called DPR obtained 1.2 billion Russian rubles and $382,000 in cash streamlined for needs of the local administration and daily operations for military units of the Russian Armed Forces," the report notes.

In addition, 35,000 Russian passport books were received in the occupied territories of Donbas. Blank passport books are intended for granting Russian citizenship to persons who are willing and selected for contract military service in the Russian Armed Forces, the military intelligence report states.
