Japan to allocate $13.6 mln to Ukraine to restore eastern regions

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has thanked Japan for a decision to allocate a new tranche of financial aid worth $13.6 million for Ukraine to restore eastern regions.

President Poroshenko said this at a joint press conference with Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“I would like to thank the government of Japan and Mr. prime minister for granting financial, technical and humanitarian aid to Ukraine. In particular, we are grateful for today’s decision of the Japanese side to allocate a new tranche of humanitarian aid worth $13.6 million to restore eastern regions of Ukraine,” he said.
