Kyiv Economic Court prohibits to eliminate Ukrgazprombank

The Kyiv Economic Court has prohibited the Deposit Guarantee Fund for physical entities and the National Bank of Ukraine to adopt resolutions to eliminate Ukrgazprombank JSC.
This was stated in the court ruling that was published in the Unified State Register of court rulings.
The lawsuit was filed by Primestar Energy FZE that on August 7, 2015 acquired 100% stake in the insolvent Ukrgazprombank.
The company appealed to the court to ban the Deposit Guarantee Fund for physical entities and the National Bank of Ukraine to adopt resolutions to eliminate Ukrgazprombank JSC. The plaintiff believes that there is a high probability that in the period of the lawsuit it will be decided to liquidate the bank, making it impossible to renew the rights and interests of the plaintiff.
