State-run Antonov aircraft manufacturer to design plane for Turkey

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko told reporters during a joint press conference with President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Ukrinform reported.

"We have developed a roadmap for our further strategic cooperation. We have focused our efforts on enhancing the practical component of Ukrainian-Turkish cooperation by implementing the large-scale high-tech projects. One of these projects is to design and manufacture a regional passenger aircraft for tailored for Turkey's needs that is based on the latest technology of state-run enterprise Antonov,” he said.

According to Poroshenko, also agreements have been reached on joint projects in aerospace, engine manufacturing and military-technical sectors.
