Azarov: Ukraine sees relations with Customs Union as cooperation within CIS FTA
KYIV, December 24 /Ukrinform/. Ukraine is considering cooperation with the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan only as cooperation within a free trade area between the CIS countries.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov told this to journalists in Moscow on Tuesday, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
"Ukraine is considering cooperation with the Customs Union states primarily as cooperation within a free trade area, and this agreement that has been signed and ratified by Ukraine should be implemented in full," he said, adding that this position is shared by most member states of the Customs Union.
He said that important decisions eliminating barriers in mutual trade were made at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council at the level of heads of state in Moscow on Tuesday.
