Azarov: Ukraine should be in Customs Union and free trade area
KYIV, October 9 /UKRINFORM/. Ukraine should be in the Customs Union and the free trade area with CIS countries.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov announced this on October 9 at the Odesa Opera and Ballet Theater at a meeting with the employees of social and humanitarian facilities in the region, a UKRINFORM correspondent said.
"This is not just possible, this is required. It's necessary to move not only in two directions. We need to move in the directions where our products and services are going. The government's task is to provide the country with political conditions on a maximum number of foreign markets," Azarov said.
According to the prime minister, the market of the Customs Union countries covers 65% of Ukraine's trade turnover. Thirty percent of turnover accounts for the countries of the free trade area. The prime minister said that particular attention should be paid to such a market as China. According to Azarov, Ukraine will face serious economic prospects there.
