Crimea, Turkey to cooperate in transport sector
. The Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Turkey's IC Ibrahim Cecen Investment Holding AS are planning to develop cooperation, including in the transport sector.
This issued was discussed at a meeting between Deputy Chairman of the Crimean Council of Ministers Valeriy Palchuk and a representative of the Turkish company, Serkan Vuran, in Simferopol, according to the main information policy department of the Crimean government, an UKRINFORM correspondent said.
"We are happy about the visit of a serious investor, and I am confident that the meeting will serve as an impetus to the development of bilateral fruitful cooperation," Palchuk said.
Crimea is one of the most promising investment areas, where a number of large-scale investment projects, including in the transport sector, are currently being implemented. Among the most significant and promising projects are projects on the development and reconstruction of Simferopol International Airport, as well as projects on the construction of roads and the development of a network of yacht marinas along the Crimean coast of the Black Sea.
IC Ibrahim Cecen Investment Holding AS Manager Serkan Vuran expressed his interest in cooperation with Crimea and presented the opportunities of the Turkish company. He noted that the company is operating in five main areas: transport (the construction of ports, airports, high-speed roads and railways), energy, tourism and recreation, construction and industry.
The company is currently implementing a number of major projects, including a project on the development and reconstruction of Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg, Burgas Airport in Bulgaria, as well as projects on the construction of a number of airports in Turkey, the largest hotel complexes, including five-star complexes.
"Our company is an expert in the construction of airports, ports, roads, and we are ready to start implementing projects in Crimea with the utmost seriousness and responsibility and implement them at the highest level," he said.
