National Bank's foreign exchange reserves continue to decline

. The international reserves of Ukraine as of March 1, 2012 amounted to 31,048.6 million dollars, which is 316.2 million dollars (1%) less than at the end of January 2011, the press service of the National Bank of Ukraine reported.

According to the NBU, "as of 01.03.2012 the volume of international reserves reached 31,048.6 million dollars, which makes it possible to finance future imports of goods and services during 3.5 months," the NBU says.

The central bank also reminds of repayment of the IMF stand-by loan.

Ukraine's gold and forex reserves at the end of January 2012 amounted to 31,364.3 million dollars, which is 430.31 million dollars (1.5%) less than at the end of December 2011.
