Average salary in Ukraine decreased by almost 2% in April

In April 2017, the average salary of a full-time employee across Ukraine totaled UAH 6,659, which is by 1.4% less than in March and by 36% more than in April last year, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine. 

The average salary in April exceeded the minimum wage of UAH 3,200 by 2.1 times.

According to the State Statistics Service, the actual salary decreased by 2.3% in April 2017 compared to March and increased by 20.7% compared to April 2016.

The highest level of average salaries last was recorded in the air transport sector at UAH 25,511, the lowest – in the postal and courier services at UAH 3,479.

As to the regions of Ukraine, the highest level of average salaries last month was recorded in Kyiv at UAH 10,788, the lowest in Ternopil region – UAH 5,152.
