Minister Nasalyk: Ukraine can purchase over 3 million tonnes of anthracite coal from USA

Ukraine intends to purchase about 3.5 million tonnes of anthracite coal from the United States a year.
Energy and Coal Industry Minister Ihor Nasalyk stated this when speaking with reporters before a government’s sitting on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“They have agreed to import about 300-350 thousand tonnes a month. It will be about 3.5-4 million tonnes a year. If we agree on this contract, then we’ll not need all the others," Nasalyk said.
The minister also added that at present the US Embassy assists Ukraine in this issue.
