Norway to deploy F‑35 jets to Poland for Rzeszów hub protection

This was reported by the Norwegian Ministry of Defense on social media X, according to Ukrinform.

As noted, Norwegian fighter jets will be deployed in Poland to support the mission to protect Polish airspace and a key logistics center for providing assistance to Ukraine in Rzeszów.

“This is a vital contribution. We are helping ensure that support to Ukraine reaches its destination, and that Ukraine can continue its fight for freedom,” said Norwegian Defense Minister Tore O. Sandvik.

As reported by Ukrinform, last December, Norwegian NASAMS air defense systems were deployed to protect a logistics center in Rzeszów, Poland. The mission lasted until Easter.

In January this year, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced the deployment of two Patriot batteries near the Rzeszów-Jasionka airport, which serves as an international hub for the transit of aid to Ukraine. The mission is scheduled to last six months.
