Ukrainian, U.S. defense companies upgrading Ukraine's air defense assets - MoD

Ukrainian and American companies are exploring the possibility of repairing some air defense systems that are in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the territory of Ukraine, which will allow them to start using updated weapons more quickly.

Head of the Main Directorate for Missile Programs Support at the Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General Serhiy Baranov, expressed hope that "Ukrainian and American companies working in this field will be able to strengthen cooperation."

During the meeting in Kyiv, the parties discussed the current status of joint projects and further steps in their implementation.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, referring to the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, the EU plans to supply Ukraine with at least 2 million ammunition rounds per year.
