Next week, Ukraine will hold talks with Turkey on cooperation in the field of unmanned aviation and high-tech aviation equipment within the framework of the 16th International Defence Industry Fair in Istanbul.

Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey Vasyl Bodnar said this at the briefing "Grain Corridor – possible alternatives to the deal" at the Media Center Ukraine–Ukrinform.

"There will be a large defense fair next week, representatives of Ukraine will participate in it, and there is expected to be a continuation of the negotiations we previously conducted in the field of unmanned aviation, high-tech aviation equipment and some other areas that are now extremely important for Ukraine, as well as strengthen our defense cooperation and allow both countries to cooperate on mutually beneficial terms," the diplomat said.

As reported, Minister of Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin said on July 10 that the Turkish company Baykar had started the construction of a plant for the production of Bayraktar drones in Ukraine.

Earlier, it was reported that the Turkish company Baykar received license permits for the production of Bayraktar TB2 and Akıncı drones in Ukraine. This plant is expected to start working in 2025, the volume of investments in it reaches $95.5 million.

Akıncı UAVs will have Ukrainian MS-500 and AI-450 engines – depending on the customer's choice, while Kızılelma will be equipped with Ukrainian AI-25 engines.
