US Congressman Jason Crow led a U.S. Congressional delegation to Kyiv to discuss Russia's aggressive military build-up in and around Ukraine and hear assessments from Ukrainian officials and military leadership, according to the Facebook page of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine.

"Representative Crow and his colleagues, Representative Brad Wenstrup and Representative Rick Crawford underscored bipartisan support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity and its Euro-Atlantic trajectory. The delegation also reiterated the U.S. commitment to diplomacy and dialogue to de-escalate tensions stemming from Russia's military build-up, alongside support for strong measures in response to any further Russian military incursion into sovereign Ukrainian territory," the post reads.

About 100,000 Russian troops are now deployed along Ukraine's borders.

Earlier, Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, said that Russian troops could launch an invasion of Ukraine in January or February next year from several directions: through areas of the eastern border (including those controlled and not controlled by Kyiv), as well as from Crimea and Belarus.
