Between the evenings of November 26 to 28, the OSCE SMM recorded 495 ceasefire violations in Donetsk region and 164 ceasefire violations in Luhansk region.

“In Donetsk region, between the evenings of November 26 to 28, the SMM recorded 495 ceasefire violations, including 49 explosions (one airburst, one outgoing, three impacts and 44 undetermined),” reads the OSCE SMM daily report 280/2021 issued on November 29, 2021.

The majority of ceasefire violations occurred in areas north of Shyrokyne (government-controlled, 100km south of Donetsk), south-east of Chermalyk (government-controlled, 77km south of Donetsk), and inside and south of the disengagement area near Petrivske (non-government-controlled, 41km south of Donetsk).

In addition, the Mission again registered ceasefire violations in an area east of Hranitne (government-controlled, 60km south of Donetsk) assessed as a live-fire training exercise in violation of the decision of the Trilateral Contact Group of March 3, 2016, that prohibits the conduct of live-fire training in the security zone.

In the previous reporting period, the Mission recorded 612 ceasefire violations in the region.

“In Luhansk region, between the evenings of November 26 to 28, the SMM recorded 164 ceasefire violations (no explosions),” reads the report.

Almost all ceasefire violations occurred north and east of the disengagement area near Zolote (government-controlled, 60km west of Luhansk).

In the previous reporting period, the Mission recorded 193 ceasefire violations in the

region, some of which also occurred in areas close to the disengagement area near Zolote.

Moreover, ceasefire violations occurred close to an SMM patrol in non-government-controlled Raivka, Luhansk region.

“On November 27, at 10:33, while positioned in Raivka (non-government-controlled, 16km north-west of Luhansk), the Mission heard six single shots of small-arms fire at an assessed range of about 100m north-east of its position. The SMM immediately left the area,” the OSCE SMM reports.
