ICRC delivers humanitarian cargo to occupied territories of eastern Ukraine

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has delivered almost 100 tonnes of humanitarian cargo to the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, Ukrinform reports with reference to the Ministry for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories.
"Today, April 16, 2021, five trucks delivered humanitarian cargo weighing 93.64 tonnes to the Russian-occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine. It was transferred from all member states of the Geneva Conventions that contribute to the global budget of the International Committee of the Red Cross,” reads the report.
According to the ministry, five trucks carrying humanitarian aid, namely medical supplies, crossed the Shchastia entry-exit checkpoint.
As reported, according to president’s press secretary Iuliia Mendel, international organizations in 2020 sent 76 convoys with humanitarian aid to the occupied territories of eastern Ukraine, while Russia sent only five convoys.
