Danilov comments on ceasefire in Donbas: without heavy weapons and combat losses

The ceasefire regime in Donbas is being observed. For two weeks there have been no heavy weapons shots and combat losses.

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Oleksiy Danilov said this on Monday, Ukrinform reports with reference to the NSDC press service.

"According to the Main Situation Center at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, the ceasefire regime in Donbas has been in place since midnight July 27, 2020, and isolated cases of its violation are not systemic. Unlike many previously announced ceasefires, which lasted several days, today is the fifteenth day of the ceasefire without heavy weapons shots and combat losses," Danilov said.

According to him, the hopes that the agreements reached by the Trilateral Contact Group will further be fulfilled are supported by daily data processed by the COTA software and hardware complex, which allows for a comprehensive analysis to prepare and make decisions in the sphere of national security and defense.

As reported, during a meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) in Minsk on July 22, the parties agreed on a complete and comprehensive ceasefire on the contact line in Donbas from July 27.
