Ukrainian security and defense sector financed in full in H1 2020 - NSDC

“As part of the control over the implementation of the decision of the National Security and Defense Council as of November 2, 2019 ‘On Proposals to the draft Law of Ukraine ‘On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2020’ regarding the articles related to the national security and defense of Ukraine, the NSDC staff has analyzed the relevant financing of the security and defense sector of Ukraine over January-June 2020.  The financing of the security and defense sector of Ukraine from the general fund of the state budget over this period was carried out in full according to the monthly schedule of allocations – UAH 101,894.8 million,” reads the statement.

According to the data provided, the NSDC stresses that the special fund of the state budget over the reporting period received more than 69.7% of revenues from the annual plan. According to Head of the Security Council Oleksiy Danilov, the materials for the NSDC meeting on the proposals to the 2020 national budget should be prepared taking into account the analysis.
