Entry-exit checkpoints in Donbas prepared for opening on June 10

The Joint Forces Operation Headquarters prepares for the opening of entry-exit checkpoints in Donbas.

This was discussed during a meeting on combating the spread of coronavirus chaired by President Volodymyr Zelensky, the press service of the Head of State reports.

"The Joint Forces Operations Headquarters has informed that the entry-exit checkpoints on the contact line are prepared for opening from June 10," the statement reads.

As reported, the adaptive quarantine is in force in Ukraine from May 22 to June 22.

Persons and vehicles have been temporarily banned from crossing the contact line in eastern Ukraine since March 22 in order to counteract and prevent the spread of coronavirus in government-controlled Ukraine. However, permission to cross the contact line has been granted by a decision of the JFO Command in case of critical life circumstances and with relevant supporting documents at hand.
