Iskra Plant has developed the latest radar station for combat use as part of the divisions of the air defense forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which can be deployed within minutes, the press service of the Ukroboronprom State Concern has reported.

According to the report, a prototype of a new promising radar station 80K6KS1 was developed and manufactured in a short time at the state-owned Iskra Research and Production Complex, part of Ukroboronprom. The main purpose of the station is to detect, monitor and measure the three coordinates of air objects and their speed in the air defense system.

The radar station is compatible with existing Ukrainian and foreign air defense systems. The 80K6KS1 station is a modification of the series of radars 79K6 and 80K6 manufactured by Iskra, which have proven themselves in service with the Ukrainian Air Force.

According to him, during the tests, the radar station confirmed all the stated tactical and technical characteristics and state tests will take place in the near future.
