Today, April 24, Russian-backed forces have attacked the positions of Ukrainian Joint Forces near Orikhove, Pavlopil, and Lebedynske. One Ukrainian soldier was wounded.
Ukrainian Defense Ministry spokesman Dmytro Hutsuliak said this at a briefing on Friday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"As of 12:00 on April 24, the Russian-led forces have violated ceasefire in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area three times, using 120mm and 82mm mortars banned under the Minsk agreements, grenade launchers of different systems, and small arms. According to available information, one Ukrainian soldier sustained a shrapnel wound. He was taken to a military hospital. His health condition is satisfactory," Hutsuliak said.
The United Forces units gave a decent response to the enemy and suppressed hostile armed activity, the spokesman added.
