OSCE records about 50 weapons outside storage sites in occupied Donbas

The armed formations of the Russian Federation continue to deploy military hardware both in violation of withdrawal lines and outside of designated storage sites, according to a daily report published by the SMM on February 29.

In particular, the OSCE SMM recorded a total of 48 cases of such violations.

According to the daily report, on February 27, an SMM mini-UAV spotted 16 weapons deployed in violation of the withdrawal lines in non-government-controlled areas of Luhansk region, as well as 32 weapons deployed beyond withdrawal lines but outside of designated storage sites.

In particular, an SMM mini-UAV spotted five self-propelled howitzers (2S1 Gvozdika, 122mm) and an anti-tank gun (MT-12 Rapira, 100mm) in a training area near Shymshynivka (27km south-west of Luhansk); six towed howitzers (D-30, Lyagushka, 122mm) and four anti-tank guns (MT-12 Rapira, 100mm) in a training area near Buhaivka (37km south-west of Luhansk). The specified weapons were placed in violation of the withdrawal lines.

In addition, in the above-mentioned training areas, an SMM mini-UAV spotted 30 tanks (18 T-64, three T-72, nine T-72B) and two towed mortars (PM-38, 120mm), deployed beyond withdrawal lines but outside of designated storage sites.
