Russian-led forces fire 120mm mortars, grenade launchers in Donbas

On February 25, the armed formations of the Russian Federation violated ceasefire in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas five times.

“The enemy used 120mm and 82mm mortars banned under the Minsk agreements, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms to shell Ukrainian positions,” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.

In the zone of action of tactical force “East”, Russian-occupation troops used 82mm mortars to shell Ukrainian troops near Talakivka (17km north-east of Mariupol); grenade launchers of different systems and small arms – outside Pisky (11km north-west of Donetsk); mounted antitank grenade launcher – in the area of Novomykhailivka (28km south-west of Donetsk); 120mm mortars and heavy machine gun – near Krasnohorivka (21km west of Donetsk).

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, the enemy fired 120mm mortars on Ukrainian positions near Katerynivka (64km west of Luhansk).

No casualties among Ukrainian troops were reported on February 25.

Today, the Russian-occupation troops have already opened fire from 120mm mortar on defenders of Marinka (23km south-west of Donetsk). No casualties have been reported.
