Prosecutor's office of Donetsk region, UN monitoring mission agree on cooperation

The leadership of the Prosecutor's Office of Donetsk Region and representatives of the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine have met in Mariupol and agreed on cooperation.

“First Deputy Prosecutor of Donetsk region Serhiy Zayets held a working meeting with representatives of the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine: Deputy Head of Mission Benjamin Moreau (France), Head of Mariupol Office Oktam Gaziev (Republic of Kyrgyzstan) and human rights expert Oleksiy Bodnia (Ukraine)... The meeting participants expressed their readiness for further cooperation in all areas,” the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of Donetsk Region reported on January 17.

As the prosecutor's office notes, the parties agreed to cooperate, among other things, in order to obtain additional information and evidence during documentation and investigation into war crimes related to terrorism, murder and torture of civilians and members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
