Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a decree on the transfer to the reserve and call-up to fixed-term military service in 2020.

The decree, No. 13/2020, was published on the website of the head of state on Thursday, January 16.

The document, in particular, stipulates that the transfer to the reserve of servicemen on fixed-term military service who have served their terms of fixed-term military service, as well as regular conscription for military service, will take place during April-June and October-December.

"To call up to fixed-term military service physically qualified male Ukrainian citizens who, before being sent to military units, turned 18, as well as older persons who have not reached the age of 27 years and are not eligible for the release from or deferment of conscription for fixed-term military service," the decree reads.

The president also instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to determine the number of Ukrainian citizens to be conscripted for fixed-term military service and the amount of expenditures for holding regular conscription in 2020.
