National Guard soldiers to take part in Rapid Trident 2019 drills

"In September, the soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine will take part in the large-scale Rapid Trident 2019 military drills. The events will be held at the International Peacekeeping and Security Center of the National Ground Forces Academy near Lviv," the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reports on Facebook.

About 3,700 troops from 14 NATO countries and its partners, including nearly 375 U.S. personnel and civilian experts, will take part in the multinational exercises from September 13 to 28.

The exercises focus on enhancing joint and combined readiness and interoperability among allied and partner nations, and is composed of a computer-assisted command post exercise (CAX/CPX) integrated with situational training exercises (STX), and a field training exercise (FTX).
