Avdiivka marks fifth anniversary of liberation from Russian invaders

On July 30, the town of Avdiivka in Donetsk region marks the Day of Liberation from Russian-backed military formations.
Five years ago, servicemen of the 2nd Battalion-Tactical Group of the 93rd Special Guard Mechanized Brigade, along with soldiers of the Pravy Sector Battalion, liberated the town of Avdiivka, Donetsk region, which was held by military units controlled by the Russian Federation from April 2014.
Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy congratulated the residents of Avdiivka on the fifth anniversary of liberation.
Today, Avdiivka is trying to live a peaceful life, like other liberated towns in the region.
