Russian-led forces launch 19 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas

The armed formations of the Russian Federation violated ceasefire 19 times, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements five times, in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas over the past day.

“The enemy fired 152mm and 122mm artillery systems, 82mm and 120mm mortars, weapons on infantry fighting vehicles, antitank missile systems, anti-aircraft mounts, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms on the units of the Joint Forces,” the press center of the Joint Forces Headquarters reports.

In the zone of action of tactical force “East”, Russian-led forces opened fire from 122mm artillery systems near Vodiane (94km south of Donetsk); 82mm mortars and antitank missile systems – outside Pisky (11km north-west of Donetsk); weapons on infantry fighting vehicles, ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft mounts, automatic mounted grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms – in the area of Avdiivka (17km north of Donetsk); weapons on infantry fighting vehicles – near Chermalyk (31km north-east of Mariupol); mounted antitank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns – near Marinka (23km south-west of Donetsk); automatic mounted grenade launchers and heavy machine guns – outside Novotroitske (36km south-west of Donetsk); hand-held grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms – near Novoselivka Druha (36km north-eastof Mariupol) and Hnutove (20km north-east of Mariupol); hand-held grenade launchers and heavy machine guns – in the area of Talakivka (17km north-east of Mariupol).

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, the enemy used 152mm artillery systems to shell Ukrainian positions near Orikhove (57km north-west of Luhansk); 120mm mortars – outside Zolote-4 (59km west of Luhansk); automatic mounted grenade launchers – in the area of Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk); small arms – in the area of disengagement area near Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk).

No casualties among Ukrainian troops were reported over the past day. The Joint Forces adequately returned fire in response to enemy’s shooting. According to intelligence, three invaders were annihilated and another one was wounded on May 29.

Today, the enemy has not opened fire yet.

The Joint Forces units continue to reliably control the enemy on the contact line, adhering to ceasefire agreements.
