Russian-led forces launched 16 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day
“On February 24, Russian occupation forces launched 16 attacks on Ukrainian troops. 122mm artillery, 120mm and 82mm mortars were used 17 times, and 285 shells and mortars were fired,” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.
In addition, the Russian occupation forces fired on Ukrainian positions, using weapons on infantry fighting vehicles, anti-aircraft mounts, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms.
In the zone of action of tactical force “East”, Russian-led forces used 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different systems and heavy machine guns to shell Ukrainian positions near Vodiane (94km south of Donetsk); 120mm mortars and small arms – outside Lebedynske (16km east of Mariupol); hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns – in the area of Pavlopol (25km north-west of Mariupol); grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms – near Pisky (11km north-west of Donetsk); heavy machine guns – outside Krasnohorivka (21km west of Donetsk).
In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, the enemy fired 122mm artillery, 120mm and 82mm mortars, weapons on infantry fighting vehicles, ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft mount, eavy machine guns and small arms on Ukrainian defenders near Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk); 120mm mortars – outside Zolote-4 (59km west of Luhansk); 82mm mortars, weapons on infantry fighting vehicles, ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft mount – in the area of Katerynivka (64km west of Luhansk); 120mm and 82mm mortars, weapons on infantry fighting vehicles – near Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk); 120mm mortars – outside Zolote 1 (60km west of Luhansk); automatic mounted grenade launchers and heavy machine guns – near Lobacheve (17km north-west of Luhansk).
One Ukrainian serviceman was killed and two more were wounded in last day.
Today, the enemy has already fired 17 120mm mortars into Ukrainian positions near Lebedynske (16km east of Mariupol).
