The Tor and Kub surface-to-air missile systems will return to the air defense units of the Ukrainian Ground Forces after they undergo the tests, Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Viktor Muzhenko has reported on his Facebook page.
"The tests of modernized air defense systems, which are being returned to the combat composition of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, are being completed. This will enable us to form new units, substantially increase the capabilities of the air defense missile troops of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and, in general, increase the effectiveness of the air defense system, troops, and the state," Muzhenko wrote.
The verification of the upgraded systems is taking place at the Yahorlyk state testing ground in Kherson region.
The Tor and Kub surface-to-air missile systems were modernized by Ukrainian enterprise Aerotechnika, which improved their technical characteristics and extended their functionality.
