State Border Service received UAH 190 mln in international assistance in 2018
"In 2018, the State Border Guard Service received international assistance for a total sum of UAH 190 million, implemented 23 projects with the governments of the United States, Canada, Norway, Germany," the statement reads.
The State Border Guard Service noted that it is developing according to EU standards, in particular, it is involved in the TWINNING project on development: almost 600 border guards received European certificates to conduct checks of documents and identify stolen cars.
Ukrainian border guards participate in 10 operations of the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (known as Frontex), cooperate with the structures of Italy, France, Great Britain, Spain in operations on the fight against international crime. They also carry out joint patrolling with border guards of Moldova, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland.
In addition, the State Border Guard Service is developing according to NATO standards - border guards take part in the international military exercises Sea Breeze, Riverine, Rapid Trident.
