Ukrainian police to undergo Australian Federal Police training program

Ukrainian police will undergo the Australian Federal Police training program, which includes the management of serious crime investigation.
Ukraine’s Interior Minister Arsen Avakov reached a corresponding agreement during a visit to the Australian Federal Police College on October 24, the Interior Ministry press service reports.
“There are 140,000 officers in Ukrainian police. Our key partners in their professional training are the USA, Canada and the EU. Australia’s experience in training of police officers, especially in the area of investigation into serious crimes, will be valuable for Ukrainian law enforcement officers,” Avakov stressed.
The Ukrainian interior minister also invited the representatives of the Australian Federal Police College to visit the Patrol Police Academy in Ukraine and assist in the preparation of specialized training programs.
