Militants launched 24 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 24 attacks, using heavy weaponry three times, on positions of Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas in last day. 

“Russian-occupation troops fired 120mm and 82mm mortars, weapons on infantry combat vehicles, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. The attacks were launched on Ukrainian positions outside Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Zolote (67km north-east of Luhansk), Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk), Mayorske (45km north of Donetsk), Shumy (50km north of Donetsk), Pivdenne (40km north-east of Donetsk) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol),” the JFO Headquarters press center reports.

As noted, militants fired 120mm mortars near Luhanske, 82mm mortars – outside Krymske. The mortars of both calibers were used to shell JFO units near Vodiane.  

One Ukrainian soldier was killed, another one was wounded in last day. According to the intelligence, two militants were killed, four more were wounded.

Today, militants have already shelled Ukrainian troops outside Kamyanka and Shyrokyne, using heavy machine guns and small arms. One Ukrainian serviceman was wounded in shelling.
