Militants launched 16 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 16 attacks on positions of Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas in last day. Heavy weapons were not used.

“The situation in the JFO area slightly escalated but remained absolutely controlled. Russian-occupation forces used grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms to fire on the defenders of Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Pivdenne (40km north-east of Donetsk), Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Shumy (50km north of Donetsk), Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk), Berezove (35km south-west of Donetsk) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol),” the JFO Headquarters press center reports.

Four Ukrainian servicemen were wounded, another four got minor injuries. According to intelligence, three militants were killed, another six were wounded.

Today, militants have already shelled Ukrainian troops near Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), Vodiane, Pavlopol and Krymske, using heavy machine guns, grenade launchers and small arms.
