Russian-backed militants launched 42 attacks, including three from heavy weapons, on positions of Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas in last day.

“Russian-occupation forces used grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, small arms and weapons on infantry fighting vehicles to fire on the defenders of Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), Novotoshkivske (53km north-west of Luhansk), Troitske (69km west of Luhansk), Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk), Pivnichne (44km north-east of Donetsk), Zalizne (39km north of Donetsk), Novhorodske (34km north of Donetsk), Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk), Starohnativka (52km south of Donetsk), Hranitne (57km south of Donetsk), Chermalyk (31km north-east of Mariupol), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol),” the JFO Headquarters press center reports.

In Luhansk direction, the tense situation was observed in the area of Krymske and Novotoshkivske, where the enemy opened fire from artillery and mortars. Soldiers of the Joint Forces repulsed the enemy's attack and remained on the occupied positions.

In addition, the enemy used 82mm mortars to fire at Ukrainian positions near Luhanske, Chermalyk and Lebedynske.

Five Ukrainian soldiers were killed, and seven were wounded in shelling in last day.

Today, militants have already opened fire five times on Ukrainian troops near Krymske, Hnutove, Pavlopol and Vodiane. In addition, the enemy used 82mm mortars to shell Ukrainian positions near Pavlopol and 120mm mortars – near Krymske.
