Poroshenko in Odesa meets with Commander of U.S. European Command Curtis Scaparrotti

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, as part of his working trip to Odesa region, has met with Commander of the United States European Command General Curtis Scaparrotti and visited the American command ship Mount Whitney.
"During the working trip to Odesa region, President Petro Poroshenko visited the American command ship “Mount Whitney”, which takes part in the Sea Breeze 2018 multinational exercise, and met with Commander of the United States European Command Curtis Scaparrotti," the press service of the head of state reported.
The president noted bilateral cooperation and emphasized that cooperation between Ukraine and NATO had intensified over the last four years.
Poroshenko stressed that Ukraine was carrying out reforms, strengthening its defense capability and reforming the security sector, as the strategic goal of our country was joining NATO.
The head of state also thanked the United States for helping Ukraine.
