Militants violated ceasefire in eastern Ukraine 28 times in last day

“Russian-occupation troops violated ceasefire regime 28 times, using heavy weapons nine times,” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports as of 07:00, June 29.

In Luhansk direction, militants used tank, mortars, automatic grenade launchers and infantry fighting vehicles to shell defenders of Novotoshkivske (53km north-west of Luhansk). In addition, the enemy fired grenade launchers and heavy machine guns on Ukrainian positions outside Svitlodarsk (55km north-west of Donetsk) and Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk). As a result of provocations, one Ukrainian soldier was killed and another one was wounded.

The tense situation was also observed near Pivdenne (40km north-east of Donetsk) in Horlivka direction, where terrorists opened fire from mortars, grenade launchers and heavy machine guns to cover the activities of sniper and subversive group.

In Donetsk direction, the enemy fired grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms on Ukrainian troops near Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk) and Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk). One of Avdiivka defender was killed in shelling.

In Mariupol direction, the enemy opened fire from 122mm artillery, 120mm mortars and tripod-mounted man-portable antitank guns on Ukrainian troops near Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol). Positions of the joint forces also came under fire outside Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol).
