Defense Ministry: 234,000 servicepersons already got combatant status

Since the start of combat actions in eastern Ukraine, 234,000 servicepersons and employees of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have received the combatant status.
Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s Spokesperson Oleksandr Motuzianyk said this at a briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“As of today, 234,000 servicepersons and employees of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have received the combatant status,” he said.
Also, according to the Defense Ministry’s personnel policy department, since the start of combat actions in Donbas, state awards were granted to 80,217 servicepersons and 54,555 participants of military operations received Defense Ministry’s decorations.
