Canada and Ukraine are close allies and continue to strengthen defence relationship.
"Canada and Ukraine are close defence allies. We have deployed our Canadian forces to Ukraine to deliver training and capacity building programs, and we continue to strengthen this relationship with ongoing initiatives. Good to speak with Minister Stepan Poltorak," Canadian Defense Minister Harjit Sajjan wrote on Twitter after a meeting with Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak.
As reported, a meeting of defense ministers of Ukraine, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Lithuania and Poland was held at the NATO Headquarters in Brussels on Thursday. The sides agreed on further cooperation and discussed the progress of Ukraine's defense sector reform.
